Sanford Health in Bemidji welcomes Cody Sessions, MD, to the orthopedic surgery team at Sanford Bemidji Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center.
Dr. Sessions attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO where he earned his undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science. He then earned his doctorate from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis, MN, where he was elected an honorary member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. Dr. Sessions then completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery: University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.
As a specialist in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Sessions diagnoses bone, muscle, joint and tendon injuries. It also provides advice on injury prevention, rehabilitation and fracture care for adults and children. Dr. Sessions’ services include arthroscopy, fracture care, pediatric fracture management, hand surgery, joint replacement surgery, shoulder and elbow surgery, and sports injury management.
Asked about his idea of care, Dr. Sessions shared, “My goal is to help patients get back to the activities they love while building meaningful relationships along the way.”
Dr. Sessions is passionate about the outdoors and competitive sports. He competed on American Ninja Warrior, snowboarded on his varsity freestyle team, and cycled transcontinentally with his family from Maine to Oregon. Dr. Sessions also enjoys spending time with his family outside of wakeboarding, camping, hunting, and exercising.
