Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in his efforts to tame the threat and continued transmission of the global COVID-19 pandemic in Kano State and also to promote a safer working environment for health workers, donated personal protective equipment (PPE), boxes of hand sanitizer, boots, face masks, pump buckets, soaps, among others, to Dala Orthopedic Hospital, Kano.

The statement also revealed that other items donated to the hospital included hand gloves and other fumigating materials, all with the aim of cleaning up the facility’s environment and helping the facility to deal decisively with the pandemic.
Ganduje assured chief medical director Dr Muhammad Nuhu Salihu that the state would continue to help the facility.
His words: “I am happy to inform you that this federal government facility is working wonderfully in terms of the health care delivery system. That’s why we are always happy to help in the hospital.

He said the state government “is so concerned about the dangerous nature of the liability of health workers in state and federal facilities. So also in our private facilities. What we’re bringing today are items that can help protect your healthcare workers from the deadly disease. “
Governor Ganduje called for good and appropriate coordination between the state and the hospital, adding that “without good coordination between us, we won’t be able to do much in this regard. Our coordination system must be efficient.
Ganduje ordered a general fumigation of the facility, which he directed at the state environment ministry, as the ministry’s commissioner, Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Getso, was present when the materials were presented to management. of the orthopedic hospital.
According to the commissioner, “His Excellency the Governor ordered us to tour and fumigate all health facilities in the state, among other public places. Here we are at the federal government facility, Dala Orthopedic Hospital.
“The same fumigation exercise is taking place in other health facilities across the state. All federal and state facilities. We even tour private establishments.
The CMD of the orthopedic hospital, Dr Nuhu, appreciated the gesture. He said: “Your Excellency Sir, this is the first donation we have received since the outbreak of the pandemic in the state. And we are extremely happy sir for the concern and the good gesture.
He also appreciated the state’s benevolence towards the hospital for a very long time, noting that “Sir, we are very grateful for all the good things your administration has done to our facility. We are also thankful and grateful for the new door that the state government has built for us, sir. “
Governor Ganduje was previously at the Abubakar Imam Urology Center and Daula Hotel where he inspected the isolation centers, as provided by the State and Kano State University of Science and Technology. , Wudil, for potential COVID-19 patients.
At Nuhu Bamalli Hospital, Governor Ganduje made an official presentation of state-donated items, all in an effort to save the state from the threat of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
